Desert Tales
To the casual passer-by the desert seems intimidating. Deserted and desolate. Containing no life or interest.
But to those who lend their ears and open their eyes, the desert will tell countless tales. Stories of events that occurred 5 minutes, a week, a year or maybe a million years ago.
At times the tale will be fictional. Ages of creation and weathering have deposited shapes and textures to stir the viewer’s imagination, awakening the tales inside.
I went out into the desert an empty vessel, to allow it to speak to me and tell its stories, equipped with my camera, to document and pass on what the tales it had to tell.
